The Traffic Counter industry is largely comprised of companies that sell traffic counters. Great. We decided that a better place to focus our creative energies is on analyzing traffic and conversion data, extracting the insights and helping retailers get the most out of these insights to deliver better business results.
We’ve been analyzing traffic and conversion data since 1994, and during that time my team and I have analyzed literally mountains of data from a wide range of retailers. We pioneered the science of traffic and conversion analytics, and we continue to discover new insights and uses for traffic and conversion data.
We literally wrote the book on it – two books, actually.
In 2005 I wrote When Retail Customers Count the first book ever written
dedicated to retail traffic and conversion analysis as a primer for
retail managers, and in 2011 published Conversion: The Last Great Retail
Metric the definitive book on retail traffic and conversion analysis.
These books have defined and documented traffic and conversion analytics
for the industry and established HeadCount as the undisputed leader in
the domain.
